Where – The Sassy Spoon, Bandra Hill Road, Mumbai
Why should you visit ? – For the ambience and food.
Whats good ? – Located in the heart of Bandra, The Sassy Spoon is a plush restaurant. Replacing Mocha Mojo, this place definitely has found its footing. A friend happened to recommend it to me and I thought why not? I visited it on a lazy weekend at peak lunch hours. Thanks to the spacious area that the restaurant boasted of, I found a table. The menu seemed very interesting.
Food – Must haves are: salad of the day (beetroot, carrot and mashed potato), brown rice paella, radish and white onion soup, sambal spiced roast chicken, flat breads. The ingredients were fresh and in a new avtaar. Totally satisfied my taste buds. Also wish to mention that the crockery is rather unique.
Beverages – Melon Cue, Very berry khatta.
Desserts – Sassy stacks (Red velvet with raspberry caviar & cappuccino foam)
Service – Even though it was busy day, the service was good and quick. The staff were friendly and polite.
Ambiance – Cosy and comfortable, it has an outer section and an AC section. Chic place and makes you wanna come back.
Whats not ? Though the food is yummy, your pocket is actually going to feel the pinch (Ouch!). Its pricy and the portions may not justify the price for all.
Whats to do ? Am I going to visit again ? Yes, I am definitely visiting this sassy delight again soon.
PS – They do not take reservations so if you want a table without a wait, come in by 12.30.
