The Startup Story

The Papier Project

September 15

I’ve had many friends who’ve been immensely fond of stationery. Bright, colourful and artistic stationery and gifting just makes their day. But I have never seen anyone more passionate about it, than Sanaa and Ayesha. The two young stationery fanatics realized that the stationery market abroad was not comparable to that in India. They would always come back with stationery in abundance from their trips abroad. That’s when the girls thought that there was a huge opportunity in India that needed to be capitalized upon. Thus was born ‘The Papier Project‘ in 2015.

About the Papier Project

The Papier Project is all about gifting and stationery. The website offers various gifting and stationery related items. From pretty greeting cards to cater to every occasion to wraps & boxes, from gift sets to planners, folders and sticky notes, they’ve got it all. But this is not your regular stationery. Each piece is prepared and curated with so much thought and detail. As Sanaa puts it, each piece of art has a tiny bit of their soul. If you want anything personalized then their customization studio is at your service. Stretch your imagination and they will ensure it turns to reality.

I’ve had so much fun going through the website and meeting the girls in person. Although each piece is unique and so likable, I’ve picked some of my personal favorites.

The inspiration

The girls are avid travelers and their travel stories have enriched them with cultures from different parts of the world. This, along with their zest for creativity has been the inspiration behind their venture.

The Journey so far

Making their venture available to more and more people has been their motto. While the website is the face of their creativity for all customers, they also have a retail outlet at the T2 Mumbai International airport.

Stationery fans, you’re in for a treat! Waiting to know what Life360degrees readers think about this venture.
