Singapore, Travel Tales

The Southernmost point of continent Asia

June 4

Sentosa Island is one of the topmost tourist places in Singapore. While other people visit Sentosa Island at Singapore for Universal Studios, Madam Tussauds or the Sea Aquarium, I decided to go down the untrodden path. On a Saturday morning, I took the tram to the end of Sentosa Island to Beach Station. From there I took another tram to Palawan beach on Palawan Island which is around 15 mins away from Beach Station stop at Sentosa. The tram further goes to Tanjong beach which is one of the best places to chill out at Singapore.

As I got off the tram, the beautiful, clean Palawan beach awaited me. On one side I could see a long bridge over the water, on the other, people swimming in the sea. I decided to go on the other side over the bridge. The bridge was made of wood and I could see the water running below with small fishes swimming in the clean blue water. The beauty of the place left me awestruck.

Once I was on the other side of the bridge, I saw a board which read ‘The Southernmost Point of Continent Asia’. I am really not sure if this is true but I would recommend everyone to visit this place purely for the scenic beauty and some amazing photographs.

I then climbed to the topmost level of the viewing tower. There was just one word in my head at this point and that was ‘Beautiful!’
