Sabyasachi collaborates with Pottery Barn

November 1

The king of aesthetic and royal clothing, Sabyasachi Mukherjee has always dressed his models and clients beautifully. There’s no doubt about that ! But now he is here to dress your home as well !  He has recently collaborated with American lifestyle chain Pottery Barn to launch an amazing range of home furnishings called ‘Sabyasachi for Pottery Barn‘.

This marks the designer’s foray into home furnishings and includes a combination of colourful globally inspired textiles and decor. But, then again this isn’t the first time. Earlier in 2015, Sabyasachi had also designed a line of wallpapers with Asian Paints.

Sabyasachi is famous among the Bollywood circuit and renowned for his rich and intricate embroidery. The collection, called Sabyasachi for Pottery Barn, is available on potterybarn.com beginning October 19, 2016. It includes more than 50 pieces ranging from cushion covers, bed linen, table tops, jewellery boxes among others and is priced from $10.50 to $1,199. It is inspired by designer’s travels and his close connection to the Indian roots.

Monica Bhargava, executive vice president of product development for Pottery Barn is elated with the collaboration and feels that it has led to a very inspirational collection for the holidays. On the other hand, Sabyasachi said that he always wanted to decorate homes but never had the opportunity. When the opportunity came knocking, he grabbed it and sealed the deal with just one phone call.

For the venture, the designer has found support by way of the Sabyasachi Foundation at Kolkata, where he provides local craftsmen with work opportunities, so everything in the collection is handmade and detailed to the very core.
