Have you ever asked yourself: How do I get that perfect pout ? or How to apply lipstick and make it last all day ? Getting the perfect pout has never been so easy. Follow the below basic lipstick tips for that perfect pout.
Tip 1 – Lipstick kit essentials. Your lipstick kit should contain the following: Primer, Moisturizer, Lipstick remover, translucent powder, brush, tissue and the lipstick ofcourse
Tip 2 – Lip care regime. Just like the rest of your face has a care regime, your lips need care too. The basic tip is to exfoliate your lips to remove the dead skin and then moisturize it. Moisturizing is important and do it as frequently as possible, depending how dry your lips are. Preferably use a moisturizer of SPF 15 atleast. We recommend Maybelline Baby Lips Balm SPF (Rs 150) or The Body Shop – Vitamin E Lip Care SPF 15 (Rs 225)
Tip 3 – Primer and Liner. Use a primer to set the base for the lipstick. Once the primer get absorbed into your skin, go for a clear lip pencil that will complement every lip colour and outline your lips.
Tip 4 – Choose the right colour. Take time to decide what shade goes with your skin tone. Choose wisely.
Tip 5 – Build up slowly. Start in the middle and build up the colour slowly rather than doing it in one go. Also, if you start at the middle your hands will be more steady by the time they reach the outer part of your lips. Try using a brush. But if you are not comfortable then go ahead and use the tube.
Tip 6 – Use a powder. Apply the lipstick, blot with a tissue, reapply, then blot again. For extra staying power, tap on a translucent loose powder in between coats of lipstick. This will help the lipstick stick on even after sipping coffee.
Tip 7 -Matching concepts. Your lipstick does not have to necessarily match your outfit. You can go for contrasts and it will look absolutely perfect. Infact the contrast may actually make you look better. Use a amazing bright shade to brighten a simple outfit.
Tip 8 – Minimize other makeup. If you are going for a bright colour, keep the other make up minimal. Let you lips do the talking.
Tip 9 – Give your lips an off day. Give your lips some rest and take a day off. If you are home ensure you are without the lipstick. Let your lips breathe.
Tip 10 – ALWAYS remove your lipstick with a remover. Suggest you go for L’Oreal Paris Derma Expertise Gentle Lip & Eye Makeup Remover (Rs 400).
