Best Places to Stay at Bali

October 9

Last year this time, I was at the beautiful Indonesian Island of Bali with my best friends. A year later, reminiscing and revisiting those fond memories just brings so much happiness. When I look back, the scuba diving experience does come on top, but so does the spa experience. While at it, I thought why not just pen down my experiences ?

Best Places to Stay at Bali

We had visited Bali for 3 nights of which one day was spent at the magnificent ITC property. But if you have a couple of days on hand why not stay for a day or two at different locations to get a flavour of each of these places ? Of course, that’s if you are travelling light. You don’t want to spend too much time just moving, do you ?

KutaLow to medium budget travellers, Kuta is perfect for you. It is close to the beach with the local market in the vicinity. There are wide ranges of hotel options for stay and well as for night-life.

Seminyak – It’s the perfect place for people who like multiple dining and nightlife options, less crowded beaches and people who don’t mind spending a little more for their stay. Places are a bit spaced out so you may have to walk a bit. Is it good for shopping ? Well, I would call it the premium shoppers paradise.

Legian -Sandwiched between Kuta and Seminyak, it has the pros of both and one can easily reach out Kuta and Seminyak both.

Ubud – This place is more for people who want a quiet holiday and are more interested in understanding the art, culture and historical importance of Bali. Ubud is famous for temples and museums with green valleys and rice fields.

Jimbaran -This area is preferred by luxury travellers who love direct beachfront access. The resorts here are popular for their seafood and sunsets.

Where did I stay at Bali ?

We stayed for 3 nights at Bali of which 2 nights were at Kuta and 1 night at Jimbaran.

Kuta Station Hotel and Resort at Kuta – A cute family place for the affordable traveller.

The ITC Property at Jimbaran – A beautiful property set on the shores of the beach, the ITC property was an experience we will never forget. Sprawling gardens, numerous pools and beautiful scenic beauty made for a perfect stay. The lip smacking food was the cherry on the cake.

Hey Rekha, if you are looking for a family place I would suggest Kuta Hotel and resort. If you are looking for a place that’s couple friendly try ‘Alam KulKul’ Boutique Resort or ‘The Haven Bali’. These hotels are of 5,000 INR per night budget. If you have a budget of around 25k – 30k per night then ‘W Bali – Seminyak’ is great. Let me know which one you opt for finally.
