Best facewash for acne prone skin

June 6

Now we all have acne. Unfortunately for some, like me, we break more often than not. It’s firstly important to decode why you have the acne. While the reason may be different for all, its important to get to the crux of your problem and then find a solution.
But meanwhile, using the right facewash can keep matters in control and not aggravate the problem further. Acne prone skin is by nature, extremely sensitive.

1.) Cetaphil – I have been using this facewash for about 5 months and its really helping me. Its light and easy on the skin. I generally use it twice a day. Once in the morning when I reach work and the second time when I get back home at night. Use this in combination with Cetaphil moisturizer. Now remember the rule. Whether your face is oily or not, using a moisturizer is a must. Dab it on your face and go to sleep at night. The facewash is priced at INR 163 and usually lasts for a month. The only turn off for me is that is does not lather. But who cares as long as it’s doing the job !

2.) Benzoyl Peroxide creamy facewash 4% – This facewash is for oily skin. I have just recently begun using this. I generally use this once a day in combination with Cetaphil. So its Cetaphil in the morning and this one at night. It really helps control acne due to its anti acne properties. Only downturn is that after using it for a week you will realize your skin getting dry, so moisturizing is even more important. But this is an absolute wonder cream and has worked for me atleast.

Let me know your experience after using the above. Give it 2 – 3 months and you will definitely see the results. Good luck !
