The Startup Story

At the launch of Wedding Wishlist

July 3

Weddings in India are synonymous with breathtaking locations, elaborate ensembles, delicious buffets and customary gifting for the bride and groom. After all the naach-gaana, fun, frolic and those hectic days, every couple looks forward to a new life filled with lovely presents which will help them set up a new home.

But as you know, couples always end up with gifts that are irrelevant to them. A wedding gift registry is an answer to all these. I had written about Wedding Wishlist: India’s first Wedding Registry recently. For all those who missed the posts, here are the links.

Post 1: What’s on your Wedding Wishlist?

Post 2: Tête-à-Tête with Kanika Subbiah Founder Of Wedding Wishlist

I am happy to declare now that Wedding Wishlist, India’s premium online wedding registry launched over an engaging weekend high tea at Flavour Diaries, Khar in Mumbai.

Kanika Subbiah , CEO & Founder of Wedding Wishlist engaged with guests about this much-needed concept in India and its relevance to prospective couples and wedding guests in today’s digital savvy day and age. Hosting the launch with Kanika Subbiah, were brand ambassadors and investors of Wedding Wishlist -Kirthiga Reddy ( CEO Facebook, India ) and Renuka Ramanath (Founder of Multiples Equity) .

Hosts and guests shared & discussed personal gifting anecdotes and the value proposition of Wedding Wishlist and how this concept can transform the gifting experience for prospective couples as well as wedding guests. The good news is that this end to end wedding gifting management platform offers a range of services which includes creating your website, hosting your personal registry and managing ‘thank you’ cards for wedding guests.
